FAQs
Love Trails Festival 2020 is taking place at Weobley Castle, West Castle Farm, Llanrhidian, Swansea SA3 1HB.
New for 2020 we have a festival "Outpost" in the Brecon Beacons. A 1hr coach transfer from Love Trails, tickets to get to the Outpost from the main Love Trails site cost extra. Love Trails veterans (those that have been at least one year already) get the chance to book tickets to the Outpost before anyone else.
By Train
Arriving by train is the easiest and most environmentally friendly choice, so please consider this first when planning your journey.
Swansea Station is the closest largest station. Trains run direct from London Paddington in three hours and from Cardiff in under one hour. For journey times and routes please visit www.gwr.com.
Gowerton Station is also close to the festival site, and an 11 minute train from Swansea, with trains running every 20 minutes.
From Gowerton Station or Swansea Station, you can easily take a taxi to the Love Trails Site. The journey time from Swansea is approximately 35 minutes and costs around £25, so it's worth filling the seats.
By Coach
In 2020 we're going to be putting on more journeys from across the UK, at an affordable rate, making the coach is more appealing option than travelling by car. Information about coach travel will be launched in February 2020.
By Bike
If you're thinking about travelling by bike to Love Trails - well done for reducing your carbon footprint! We have launched an exclusive ‘Cycle to Love Trails Festival’ event. Please email sarah@lovetrailsfestival.co.uk for more information
By Car / Campervan
If you are driving to Love Trails Festival, please try and fill your seats to help lower your carbon footprint. It also helps split the cost of fuel and helps others looking for a lift. You can post in our friendly Love Trails Festival Facebook Group about car sharing.
If travelling by car, please follow signs for Weobley Castle, and then the event signage put out for your direction. Arrival information will be sent out to attendees in the weeks leading up to the festival.
Car Passes and Campervan passes must be bought as an extra here https://lovetrails.myeasol.com/shop/love-trails-festival-2020
By Plane
If you need to fly, then the closest airports are Cardiff Airport or Bristol Airport. Overseas flights are more regular to London Airports, so check your route on Sky Scanner and choose the best option for you.
Love Trails Festival starts in the evening of Thursday 2nd July, and goes right through until midnight on Sunday 5th July.

The Outpost is a chance to run in the mountains for a day, before coming back to the Love Trails site in time for the music and party! One moment you'll be running epic ridge lines in the sky in, the next you'll be back at Love Trails enjoying the music and festival vibe!
Love Trails Festival isn't able to refund tickets or defer tickets.
If you are injured, please consider coming anyway! There is so much to do beyond the running. Many injured runners come to Love Trails every year and they all have a fantastic time.
Love Trails Festival starts in the evening of Thursday 2nd July, and goes right through until midnight on Sunday 5th July. Camping is open from the afternoon on Thursday 2nd July to midday on Monday 6th July.
Please don't bring any alcohol to Love Trails Festival. We are a very small, grass roots festival and we rely on our bars to cover the cost of putting the event on. In any case, no pre-purchased alcohol is allowed to be brought onto the festival site and our security team reserve the right to enforce this.
Love Trails Festival bars operate a 'Challenge 21' policy and we reserve the right to ask to see a valid form of identification (passport or driving licence) if we think you look under the age of 21.
Yes! We love dogs and well behaved dogs are more than welcome as long as they are kept on the lead at all times. Please make sure your dog is comfortable around large crowds.
Log into www.myeasol.com, and pay off your balance from there. If you have forgotten your Easol password, you may need to reset that before you log in.
You can change the name of the booking and transfer your ticket to someone else.
To do this, the person you are selling the ticket to will need to get set up with a Easol account here https://myeasol.com/
Once this is done, please e-mail hello@myeasol.com to inform them of the name and e-mail address of the person you would like to transfer your booking to.
Day Tickets will be released soon.
Included in your weekend festival ticket is 4 nights of camping at Weobley Castle Farm, Thursday - Monday. You’ll need to bring your own tent and camping gear.
Love Trails Festival is a clean and tidy festival, but if you still think camping isn’t for you, there are plenty of Airbnb’s or local hotels close to the festival site.
Yes. Campervan passes must be purchased separately, and you’ll park in a separate field to other cars and tents.
If you would like to sleep in your van, you need to purchase a campervan pass and park in the designated campervan space. We can’t allow anyone to sleep in the car park.
The car park and camping fields are separate, but it is only a short walk between them. It is not possible to drive your car and park next to your tent, even just to unload.
The distance between each camping area and the main festival field is a short walk, about 10 minutes maximum.
What we are calling ‘Marked Courses’, are all-new for 2020. These are marked and supported routes, starting and finishing at the festival site. You'll also get a beautifully made medal for completing one! They aren't timed runs, and so aren't officially races. You get to pick 1 Marked Course to take part in as part of your Love Trails weekend. Pick from 5km, 10km, 21km or 42km marked course options.
You can log in and book your chosen marked course (5km, 10km, 21km or 42km) in summer 2020.
Each Marked Course will take place once across the weekend, but there will be several waves to choose from. Each wave will have a mass start, so everyone sets off together, but you don’t have to run together!
Guided Trail Runs are small group (max 30 people) guided trail runs that start and finish at the Love Trails Festival site. You will be lead in a group by an experienced Run Leader. You get to pick 1 GTR to take part in as part of your Love Trails experience.
Guided Trail Runs each vary in distance from roughly 3km to 55km. Please only pick a guided trail run if you can definitely complete that distance.
We'll send you an email, and you can log in and book your chosen Guided Trail Run (GTR) in summer 2020.
The Guided Trail Runs at Love Trails will be categorised by three different pace groups. The paces are based on what a runner would usually run on road, and these will differ and vary on the trails due to terrain, elevation, and for the safety and benefit of the group.
Falcons (roughly 4:00-5:30 min km)
Falcons are strong and experienced runners and used to smashing out hills for breakfast on a daily basis. 4:30min/km are absolutely no problem for Falcons on the road, and they're training several times a week. Join the Falcons for a pacey run at the front of the pack.
Foxes (roughly 5:30-07:00 min km)
Foxes are up for a good time and quite happy running a 10km in just over an hour. Foxes are fairly confident on the trails, and love flying up and down the hills whilst holding a conversation.
Hares (roughly 7:00-9:00 min km)
Hares are out for a jolly, to enjoy the trails, and to have a good natter with their friends. Hares is the ultimate social pace, no racing, no pressure, just able to run comfortably at above 09:00min/km on road.
Runners are responsible for their own safety and kit whilst out running on a guided trail run. What you take with you depends on what distance you are running, but we would advise taking / wearing the following;
Trail shoes with a decent tread
A running rucksack / bag
Hydration for the duration you will be out
Food and nutrition
A mobile phone
If there is availability on the extra adventures, then these can be booked at the Info Point at the festival. It is best to book in advance when they go on sale online, to avoid disappointment as they are very popular.
Love Trails Festival is packed out with healthy & nutritious food trucks serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, late-night snacks and light bites, so there really is no need to bring anything at all to the festival food wise, but you are allowed to bring your own food.
